Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information King West Group LLC (“we”) collects when you use maimaimai.us, maimaimai.space and our sponsor cards (the “Site”), and what we do with it. Short version: we don't have accounts, we don't use cookies, we don't run ads or analytics trackers, and we don't sell your information.
What we collect
When you click LINK UP
We record the click so we can tell which videos and sponsor slots work. The record contains the product, the segment or sponsor slot you came from, the page that referred you, your browser's user-agent string and the time. It does not contain your IP address, your name or anything that identifies you directly. You are then sent to the retailer.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server automatically logs requests: your IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and your browser's user-agent. We use these logs only to run, secure and debug the Site, and we keep them only as long as we need them for those purposes.
Stored only in your browser
The Site saves two small settings in your browser's local storage: whether flying comments (弹幕) are on, and your own 想要 WANT IT tap count. They never leave your device, and you can clear them in your browser at any time. Anything you type into the chat box stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
If you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply.
What we don't do
- No cookies, no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics.
- No third-party scripts or fonts: everything on the Site is served from our own server.
- We don't sell or “share” personal information (as those terms are defined in US state privacy laws) and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
Retailers you visit
When you click LINK UP you leave our Site. The retailer (for example Amazon) may use cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy, including to credit us with a commission. We don't receive your name, address or purchase details from the retailer; at most, we see totals of qualifying sales.
Who we share it with
Our hosting providers process the data above on our behalf to run the Site. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. We don't sell or share it, but you can still make any of these requests by emailing legal@maimaimai.us. We will verify the request where needed, respond within the time the law allows, and won't treat you differently for asking. We honor Global Privacy Control signals; there's nothing to opt out of, but we treat them as an opt-out anyway.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and click records and logs are kept on systems we control. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is little to lose.
Changes
If we change what we collect, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and its effective date before the change goes live.
